A great Newcomer Year for Celeste

As the horse show world makes their way to Victoria for the EA Horse and Rider National Championships we take a moment to reflect on the wonderful year our home bred Carlingford Park Celestial (Royalwood Rossinin exp NZ x Kolbeach Chanting) has enjoyed under the guidance of Margot Haynes and David Quayle of Lillys Stud.

Owned by Catherine Gale, in her short show career Celeste qualified for the 2026 SHC Grand National in both the Open Large Pony & Child's Large Pony events at her first qualifier. She has since been sashed Best Novice Pony at Adelaide Royal Show and qualified for the open championship against some very strong well seasoned ponies. Shortly after she again took our both the Open and Child's title's at EA South Australian Horse of the Year and Show Horse Council Horse of the Year events.

We couldn't be prouder of this little dynamo who from all reports is a very easy pony to have around. We wish Catherine, Margot, David and her child jockey Shenae Smith all the very best for this weeks National Championships.

Winning is great but enjoying the ride is the ultimate reward and we are very grateful for Celeste's team for sharing the ride with us.
