Carlingford Park Double Take

Duet was shown lightly in-hand with excellent results including Supreme Champion RP at the APSB Nationals, and 2nd at her debut appearance as a yearling at Sydney Royal in her led Riding Pony class against dinky pony types. She was lightly started under saddle then turned out to grown and briefly joined our broodmares producing CP Double Jeopardy.

She commenced her saddle career in late 2015 quickly qualifying for the 2016 Royals with abundance of Champions to her credit. She attended her first GN qualifier in the November at the Country Hack Championships where she placed 3rd against a large quality field of Large Open Galloways. A desire to bring her along slowly saw her put back into the paddock to mature.

With a busy schedule delaying Duet’s return to the ring it was decided to show her in partnership with Melissa Sambrooks in Queensland where she took up residency mid 2016. Together they soon forged a strong partnership and were a force to contend with. During this time they were awarded Runner-up Large Galloway at North Qld Hack Championships, sashed QSHC Large Galloway of the Year twice, Lismore Hack Championships Champion Large Galloway and Runner-up on another occasion, twice Runner-up Large Galloway at EQ HOTY which resulted in her placing 3rd at Nationals in 2018. She was also Top Ten at her first Grand National and Top 5 the following year when a dedicated Top Five was introduced.

She was also very successful at breed shows winning Champion Led and Ridden Arabian Riding Pony at the Qld Arabian Gala event, Champion Led & Ridden Over Height Riding Pony at Qld State RP Show, Champion Ridden Over Height Riding Pony at Lismore, taking the top spot at The Top of the Range Gala Event along with QSEC Supreme Champion Arabian Derivative Galloway amongst her major accolades.

Whilst her show career has now come to an end Duet has returned to our broodmare paddock where we hope she continues producing stunning foals for us for many years to come.
