A quality individual with incredible movement, a personable character Neon was selected to complement our mares whilst demonstrating the attributes and eye catching superstar presence required of an up and coming star.
As a stallion National Anthem (Neon) was lightly campaigned to multiple Supreme Champion accolades across all three of his breed registrations. His Sydney Royal debut in 2010 saw him enjoy a win in his ASP class before going on be declared Reserve Champion ASP Stallion/Colt,a feat he duplicated in 2011. He was also highly placed in his RP and Part Welsh events at both Sydney and Brisbane Royals during his in-hand career.
However, it was under saddle that we were confident this young stallion would shine and shine he did! National Anthem proved to be an intelligent and athletic gentleman under saddle exhibiting excellent trainability. In 2011 he commenced his saddle career with great success in the breed ring and open rings, when the rare opportunity arose, taking it up to far more seasoned and Royal performed ponies in his first few months out. At his debut Royal Show saddle appearance at Sydney Royal in 2012, partnered by his mentor& regular rider Kristy Glover, he exceeded all expectations winning all three of his ridden classes in the Riding Pony, Australian Saddle Pony & Part Welsh rings and was sashed Champion Ridden Part Welsh Exhibit under renown generational welsh breeder Mr Darryl Owen of the Owendale Stud.
Neon was gelded in 2013 and was continuing his successful saddle career in his new home before tragedy stuck and he was sadly euthanatized after a work incident whilst being lunged. His progeny have commenced saddle careers in 2015 with pleasing results and we watch with anticipation as the remaining babies grow up and hit the showrings.
A small number of straws remain and are available to select mares on application.
